With meat from an award winning butcher, fresh vegetables from our local green grocer, free range eggs from a nearby farm, our aim is to serve wholesome food, locally sourced and freshly prepared. We have a varied menu including homemade soup, sandwiches, snacks and a childrens section. steak and ale pie, shepherds pie made with local lamb, Whitby whole tail scampi, along with vegetable chilli and sweet potato and  spinach curry are just a taste of what's on offer.

With prior arrangement we can cater for groups of up to 50 people for a buffet or up to 30 for a formal meal. Contact us to discuss your requirements.

Our bar stocks a range of hand pulled cask ales (range may be limited at quiet periods) choosing from the ever increasing number of micro breweries in and around the local area. The Inn has received acclaim from CAMRA for its services to the beer drinker and has been featured in various publications, so whatever beers are on offer you can be sure of a good pint.
